Out my Kitchen window!

 Is this thing on? ...hello!
Is anybody out there?
It's been a minute, I know, I know. You're thinking here's another post about starting blogging ALL OVER again!
Not this time.  Nope. This time I'm going to tell you a little bit about me. I'm going to tell you what I like to do in my spare time, when I'm not crazy-busy blogging! (smile)  I kid.

Let's see, it's the last day of November 2022. Yesterday and Monday were two beautiful days- warm days and sunshine.
On Monday I did laundry, washed and hung it out to dry. Laundry is my favorite chore around the house. I love hanging the clothes, towels, sheets, whatever, on the line and let dry in the fresh air. I also, shampooed the rug in the entry.
I have rugs throughout the house, I've decided to NOT over do it and only shampoo a rug a week.
The husband and I also cleared out the vegetation that has finally exhausted itself and couldn't hold on any longer! While the temps were in the 60s and 70s the past two days, we have had temps in the freezing range over night. So, even though we've covered the garden with plastic sheeting some nights, it is pretty much done for the year.

This fall garden was a first for us, and purely experimental. I say it was a success. We started late August and early September- and surprisingly we had lots of good food to eat!
I have potatoes in containers and hope to have a potato harvest by Christmas. The containers have been moved to the recycled greenhouse, also and experiment.  We'll see how that goes.

Today, we cleared out the front garden beds of wilted greenery that were the 4 o'clocks.  They were quite bushy this year and were ready to be cut back. While I had the loppers out, I trimmed up the trees around the side porch, they were over grown too.
I guess most people put their gardens to bed sooner in the year. As I said, we've never had a fall garden. I've enjoyed it. The temperatures are much more pleasant in the fall.  I don't mind getting out there and working when it's not so hot!  Our climate is Hardiness zone: 8a , we're in Texas.

The last two weeks, I have spent learning about routers and wi-fi connectivity using our phone plan. In October, our internet service provider was bought by another company- and we began having trouble soon after.  We had no internet for about ten days. At first, I was pretty patient, then the weekend came, predicted dates of reconnect came and went. The customer service was terrible. No more patience, I ended up canceling our account.  I purchased equipment and hooked it all up myself!  I was quite proud of myself, to say the least.  Anyway... we're good to go now. All connected and ready to blog!

That's a few things about me. I'm a home body. I really do like to blog, though I have not done much of it in years. I like to putz around the house, I'm not much of a 'floofer'... I like it comfortable and cozy.  I'm on a mission to declutter and minimalize our belongings (though, I am NOT a minimalist). I like to garden, play with my pup, and I enjoy the challenge of learning something new. Like, wireless router setup, cellphone data plans,  ethernet cords, and so forth!
I'll hopefully, find a groove here and elaborate more on all that!

This post is long enough.
If you're still reading, Thank you, thank you so much.

    Ransack- To examine thoroughly
    Search me, God, and know my heart;

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.
